Fiskernes Vesterby
*Discover the Red Skurby and hear the colorful fishing tales! * What does a fisherman do when the time comes to retire? The blood still rolls briskly in the veins, and the smell of the salty lake water sits permanently in the nose. Like the many exciting rants about the sometimes harsh life at sea, luminous stands clear in the memory. In Skagen it's easy, because here the older fishermen of Den Rød Skurby gather on a daily basis, and should a guest or two wander by with our guide, everyone is welcomed with more or less truthful stories from the time that was once upon a time. Skagen has always attracted diverse personalities, from the royals through several generations to the town bailiff's African servant. Hear the good stories of highs and lows in the city where Denmark ends.

Mukherjee Development
“The Danish Coldplay — just stronger than the original. “\ This is how the words of GAFFA sounded in a five-star concert review of The Mukherjee Development, and it says little about the band's impact live. The name derives from lead singer Oscar Mukherjee, who has Danish, American and Indian background. His upbringing in California gives the English-language lyrics a natural lightness and authenticity that flows effortlessly. Around him is a team of seasoned musicians who have roots in Jonah Blacksmith and Peter Sommer & the Beggars — and together they lift the project with experience, creativity and strong interplay. The band even describes their sound as Nordic Sunshine. The music moves freely between americana, indie, pop and rock, uniting warm melodies with Nordic thoughtfulness. Imagine Kurt Vile, Phoebe Bridgers and John Prine gathered for jam -- seasoned with both Danish sandwich bread, Indian vindaloo and American cheesecake. Oscar Mukherjee (pronounced\ [muh-kar-dji\]) writes songs about devotion, love and finding one's identity in a modern, multicultural world. After his upbringing in the United States, he moved to Denmark in 2009, where he quickly made his mark on the music scene. He has released two EPs, been nominated for a Danish Music Award and received solid rotation on P4 nationwide. Hiphop with Carl Knast
We look forward to once again putting hip hop on the program at Kappelborg — and this time with one of the most exciting new voices on the Danish rap scene: Carl Knast. With his very own expression, sharp lyrics and intense live shows, he has made a name for himself in a short time as an artist who both challenges and entertains. In 2025, he released his critically acclaimed debut album Crowdpleaser, an all-cast and original work that combines tight, wry beats with humor, self-irony and personal reflections. Carl Knast masters the art of balancing the serious with the playful, and his lyrics are filled with both precise observations and wry punchlines. The result is an album that stands out clearly in Danish hip hop. Although this is his debut, he has already gathered a strong team of guests around him — from established names such as Peter Sommer and Blæs Bukki to some of the most interesting new rappers of the time. It testifies to an artist with both ambition and broad appeal. Live Carl Knast is known for his present and energetic performance, where nerve, humor and edge come together in a higher unit. Audiences can expect a show with plenty of attitudes, strong beats and an artist who gives everything onstage. If you haven't heard him yet, the single Libido — featuring guest appearances from Klamfyre from Suspekt — is an obvious place to start. We look forward to an evening of hip hop that both moves, surprises and leaves an imprint. GOOD TO KNOW Doors open at 7 p.m. Duration: 2 x 45 minutes

FÆTTERS concert
They're back on the road -- and ready to meet the audience they've built concert by concert over more than two decades. FÆTTERS is true West Jutland music with its roots firmly planted in Thyborøn. Yes, they are actually family -- cousins and great-cousins -- and perhaps that's precisely why the interaction sits right in the closet. What began in local taverns grew larger in tandem with the songs, the ambition and the courage to let the fresh sea air carry the music beyond the home region. With pride in their origins and stories from the edge of the North Sea, they deliver songs with warmth, warmth and thought. There may be hints of Hausgaard and Allan Olsen on the horizon — but COUSINS are sailing their own course. A course filled with strong melodies, sharp lyrics and choruses that linger long after the last note. The band has released three albums with exclusively own songs, and they have made their mark at festivals and venues across the country. Many already know them from the popular song * “Gutterne på Kutterne” * — or from television, where lead singer Anders Bro has starred in the TV 2 program Fotovognen. Look forward to an evening of West Jutland nerve, musical excess and community at eye level. LINE UP\ Anders Bro — Vocals, piano & guitar\ Christian Toft Bro — Guitar\ Allan Toft Josephsen — Vocals, bass & mandolin\ Christian Stausholm Holm — Vocals & guitar\ Morten Maltesen — Bass & Drums Secure your ticket — FÆTTERS always delivers a concert with heart, humour and high musical quality. K.I.S.S. - a new performance from DON GNU
Now it's time to turn a blind eye. Time to challenge the habitual thinking. Time to ask questions where the answers seemed obvious before. With K.I.S.S., DON GNU is stepping into new territory. After years of confident energy, sharp attitudes and characteristic humor, the duo now opens the door to doubt -- and curiosity. Because what about the women? Who are they when the spotlight hits? What do they dream about, struggle with, break with? And how much -- or how little -- do they really differ from men? In collaboration with director Kamilla Wargo, DON GNU invites women all the way onto the stage — and into the center. Here, clichés are challenged, comfort zones are blasted and roles are flipped upside down in an intense, physical and thought-provoking performance. It becomes both brave, playful and confronting as the performance examines women's right to be exactly who they are -- in the midst of a universe otherwise oozing with (Don) Gnu. K.I.S.S. takes the pulse of the modern woman. Or is it trying? Look forward to a performing arts experience that combines dance, humor, edge and sharp perspectives — and isn't afraid to ask the questions we thought we had the answers to. SHELL Five x Tabloid
Kappelborg and SKAL Contemporary invite you to a very special anniversary evening, culminating in a large-scale celebration of Skal Contemporary's 5th anniversary. Look forward to a sensual total experience where contemporary art, live concert and party merge from 18:00 to 23:30. The evening starts with a reception and open doors for a variety of artistic experiences — and moves towards an energetic climax with a concert and DJ's. It will be a celebration of community, curiosity and art in motion. Concert with Tabloid The headline act this evening is Tabloid -- a star-studded band made up of five of the country's most distinctive musicians from the pop and jazz scene. Together they create a playful and uncompromising soundscape where 80s funk and fusion jazz meets everything from country to Japanese pop. Their current album Hot Gossip showcases the band from their most exuberant and adventurous side -- recorded as five friends in the same room, with nerve, presence and room for diversity. The result is vibrant, groovy and full of excess. Politics has highlighted Tabloid as one of the country's most exciting and well-playing young bands, and *GAFFA* quipped with six stars for their gig at the *Heartland Festival** in 2025. * Video art in Skagen Bio Experience Luna Lund Jensen's video work Dreaming of Dunes and Valleys of Glass on the big screen in Skagen Bio. The work — previously shown at the exhibition Post Oceanic Wonders at SKAL Contemporary — is based on the Råbjerg Mile and the historic sand escape in North Jutland. The landscape unfolds as both a local narrative and a global reflection on climate change and desertification. A poetic and visually powerful experience that takes on extra format in the cinema hall. Performance with Filip West Filip Vest takes the stage with a performance that revolves around queer relationships, identity and the social structures we navigate. With sharp performative approaches, norms and expectations are challenged — and the audience is invited to see themselves and each other in a new light. About Toppen af Danmark
